Hello! The new chicken menu from ’60Gye Chicken’ that I will introduce today is the boneless version of ‘Zzuran Wing Bong’, called Boneless Zzuran Chicken. After ‘Crangy’ and ‘Kkk Chicken’, this is a menu that ’60Gye Chicken’ has been heavily promoting for the first time in a while! You might have seen it very often on delivery apps these days, and I also tried the ‘Zzuran Wing Bong’, but I was curious about how the boneless version would feel, so I bought it! Now, shall we find out what kind of menu it is!?

Price and Features of Boneless Zzuran Chicken
When Zzuran Chicken was first launched, it seemed to have established itself as a seasonal summer snack menu, and they first introduced the wing bong! Unexpectedly, the response was good, so they supported a lot of advertising! So I thought a boneless or regular chicken menu would come out soon, but uniquely, the boneless menu was released first. It seems they are trying to maintain its position as a snack as much as possible! Haha

For reference, the price of Zzuran Wing Bong was about 26,500 won for 25 pieces of wing + bong. The boneless menu I ordered this time was 25,900 won, so you could say there is almost no price difference between boneless and wing + bong. (600 won difference) And I added Zzuran powder for 500 won! From my previous experience, I thought it was better to have leftover Zzuran powder than to have too little. Haha

Composition of Boneless Zzuran Chicken
Shall we take a quick look at the composition? Anyway, the taste of the sauce used in the chicken should be the same as the existing wing bong menu! Even before opening the lid, the strong aroma of Zzuran and spices was full! When I opened the lid, the aroma spread even more intensely.

I thought the quantity would be small because it’s a boneless menu, but it seems they added a lot of wedge potatoes to ensure the quantity is not lacking compared to the wing bong menu. The wedges seem to make up about 30-40% of the total.

Looking at it this way, I wonder if it would have been better to reduce about 2,000 won by excluding the wedge potatoes! But compared to the price of Zzuran Wing Bong, there must have been a reason to include this to raise the price so it wouldn’t be too cheap. Haha

And the rest of the sauce itself is, of course, completely identical to the Zzuran Wing Bong menu. It’s a sauce made by mixing a slightly thick texture of starch syrup or oligosaccharide with a soy sauce base and a bit of spices and Zzuran powder. The overall taste is close to soy sauce chicken, but the blend of spices is quite strong, so it wasn’t just a simple soy sauce chicken taste. Haha

Also, ’60Gye Chicken’ uses all chicken parts as boneless! Since they use literally all parts like breast, thigh, and tenderloin, I’m curious about what combination will go well with the Zzuran sauce, from thigh meat that pairs well to the dry breast meat!

Taste of Boneless Zzuran Chicken
Then let’s taste it right away! I prepared one mayo sauce, and each person prepared one Zzuran powder. The Zzuran powder goes well with oil, so when I ate the wing bong, it felt a bit lacking, but I’m curious about how it is with the boneless!

I tasted one piece first! The first piece was the chicken thigh part. Since it’s a fatty part, it went really well with the Zzuran sauce or powder. The wedge potatoes… were just potatoes with a soy sauce and Zzuran aroma!

Is it similar to how Zzuran goes well with lamb skewers? Haha, the Zzuran captures the greasy taste and absorbs the oil, making the aroma spread better, which applies equally to chicken! The basic soy sauce base already goes well with chicken, so when a thigh menu is released later, it seems like it would match well too. Haha

Next, I tried the chicken breast part! The chicken breast, which is low in fat, felt a bit lacking in the effect of Zzuran due to its unique lightness. It’s not that it doesn’t taste good, but it feels a bit light because it lacks the greasy Zzuran taste.

Since it’s a boneless menu, it’s not easy to distinguish between chicken breast and thigh, but it would be good to choose according to your preference, such as dipping the thigh more in Zzuran and enjoying the chicken breast with mayo sauce for a light taste.

When the Zzuran menu first appeared, it seemed like it would be a menu with strong likes and dislikes. However, seeing the market share increase faster than expected, it seems my choice was not wrong, as it was a menu made based on a clear preference. Haha, I still enjoy it as a snack sometimes!

In that sense, this boneless menu was a good choice as a light (since it’s boneless…) and convenient snack with wedge potatoes. Haha, I also thought it would be nice to select only thigh meat and make it a separate menu later! What do you think? Personally, it was a recommendable menu.
