Hello! Today, I am introducing a new lunchbox menu from 7-Eleven, the renewed Meat All-in-One Lunchbox. It seems that many aspects have changed from the ‘Matjangwoo Meat All-in-One’ lunchbox, which was previously released as part of the Matjangwoo series! This menu has a long history, including the One Meal Research Institute menu before Matjangwoo, so I’m very curious about what has changed this time! Shall we take a look at what kind of menu it is?

Price and Features of 7-Eleven Meat All-in-One Lunchbox
The Meat All-in-One Lunchbox, which was previously released as part of the Matjangwoo series, has been newly launched. It seems that 7-Eleven is gradually moving the existing Matjangwoo lunchboxes to the basic lineup, as they no longer seem to be releasing them after the roast chicken!

The price is 5,500 won, the same as the previous menu. The content weight is 415g, and the calorie content is quite high at 915Kcal compared to the weight. Sodium is 62% of the daily recommended intake, which is somewhat typical. Since it’s a meat-centered menu, it seems that the fat and protein content is relatively high.

Composition of 7-Eleven All-in-One Meat Lunchbox
Let’s first check the composition of this menu. The amount of rice in this menu is quite large! It is a 6-side dish composition, similar to a regular meal lunchbox. The previous menu consisted of a total of 7+1 side dishes, with 3 main dishes and 4 side dishes, but this time, the number of side dishes has decreased by one, but the overall composition feels heavier!

For reference, the previous menu’s 3 main dishes consisted of pork cutlet, spicy stir-fried pork, and meatball, with 3 slices of thinly sliced ham on top of the rice. This menu consists of a total of 6 side dishes, and unfortunately, the sliced ham on the rice is missing, but the main dishes are pork cutlet, spicy stir-fried pork, and chicken cutlet.

The sides consist of a total of 3 dishes: mini dumpling fry, japchae, and stir-fried kimchi! The previous menu consisted of stir-fried potato strips, rape greens, rolled omelet, and stir-fried kimchi, so it seems that many parts have changed. It seems that the concept is similar, but in reality, it can be considered almost a different menu!

Although it mainly consists of frozen side dishes, it uses pork loin cutlet, gochujang stir-fried pork, and chicken tenderloin cutlet! The pork loin is from the USA, and the chicken tenderloin is domestic. This part is a bit unexpected! Haha

Taste of 7-Eleven All-in-One Meat Lunchbox
Shall we taste it right away? I first took a bite of the pork loin cutlet, one of the main dishes of this menu. The sauce is included with the pork cutlet, and there wasn’t as much as expected.

Although the pork cutlet uses loin, it is not fried as a whole piece but is very thinly pounded with a meat mallet, so the texture was less than expected. Haha, but it was much tastier than those made with ground meat.

The situation was similar for the chicken tenderloin cutlet using chicken tenderloin. The meat was thinly spread and fried. Still, compared to the tenderloin cutlet, the chicken tenderloin had a bit more texture, and the taste of the tenderloin was quite pronounced. There is honey mustard inside the sauce, so you can enjoy it together.

Among the three menus, the spicy stir-fried pork was expected to be the most ordinary, but it was too plain to stand out. Since the meat pieces are not large, the taste of the meat is less noticeable compared to the sauce, so mixing it with rice seems to be the best way to enjoy it!

The other side dishes are just a visible combination. Thanks to the reduced fiber content compared to before, it seems that there is not much division of likes and dislikes. Not only 7-Eleven, but convenience store lunchboxes in general are seeing an increase in the proportion of frozen foods, leading to a decrease in types of greens or vegetables, and this menu seems to follow that trend.

This menu was quite cost-effective than expected! It was a very filling lunchbox for the price. Despite being 5,500 won, the lunchbox composition itself is quite substantial, so you don’t feel the need to eat other menus, which can be considered an advantage! Although the composition is somewhat monotonous with a focus on meat, it was a menu highly recommended for those who are hungry.
