Hello! Today, I will introduce two new convenience store menu items from Emart24: the Double Beef Cheeseburger and the Black Pepper Double Burger. Emart has recently organized its lineup under the name Amazing Trend and introduced several new products! They have launched these under the name ‘Eye-Catching Burger’ in collaboration with Shinsegae Food. The packaging is quite unique compared to existing convenience store burgers, so I bought them right away! Let’s find out what these menu items are all about!
Price and Features of the Black Pepper Double Burger
Just as Seven Eleven is expanding its share of Lotte Food, Emart24 seems to be increasing its share of Shinsegae Food, as they have introduced a new menu from Shinsegae Food after a long silence. It’s quite unique that the menu is a hamburger!
Shall we take a look at the Black Pepper Double Burger first? This menu item features thick double patties with a pepper-flavored sauce to emphasize a savory taste! The price is 3,980 won, with a total content of 200g, 586Kcal of calories, and sodium at 59% of the daily recommended intake.
The patties are a mix of domestic, Australian, and New Zealand beef with domestic pork, reminiscent of the NBB burger patties! I hope the taste is similar too! The black pepper seems to be included both in the sauce and sprinkled directly.

Let’s take a quick look at the composition! One of the biggest features of this menu is the packaging! Most existing convenience store burgers come in plastic guides with vinyl packaging, but this menu is contained in a plastic case. The balance is very stable! Haha
Let’s cut it in half and take a look at the composition! It consists of patties, a bit of pickles, and chopped onions. This would count as vegetables too. And it’s a combination of patties and sauce! The patties are definitely thick and look a bit similar to the NBB burger patties. The burger bun is the same!
However, since the patties are not grilled directly, the fat between the patties looks a bit greasy, and it doesn’t seem to be a completely identical 100% patty! I’m curious to see if it changes a bit after being microwaved!
Features and Price of the Double Beef Cheeseburger
Next is the Double Beef Cheeseburger. This menu also uses double patties! Instead, it is made with cheese and a typical steak sauce. The price is 3,980 won!
The total content is 205g, with 608Kcal of calories. The sodium content is somewhat high at 71% of the daily recommended intake, thanks to the sauce and cheese. The patties in this menu are the same as those in the previously introduced Black Pepper Double Burger, mixed with domestic, Australian, and New Zealand beef and domestic pork!

We should also check the composition of this menu! The packaging is still in a plastic container, and from the side, you can see the double patties and a slice of cheese between the burger buns. After cooking, it melts nicely and looks quite appetizing. Haha
We should also cut this in half to check the composition! From the side, you can see that the cheese slice is between the two patties, with chopped onions and pickles on top, and sauce between and below the patties.
Although the source is not certain, when I tasted it a bit, it felt like a fairly mild hamburger steak sauce, as mentioned earlier, and it also seemed to have a slight teriyaki sauce flavor.
Taste of the Black Pepper Double Burger
Let’s taste the Black Pepper Double Burger first! Despite being a convenience store burger, the price is almost 4,000 won, but the volume when held in hand is quite substantial!
When you take a bite, the patty is not very luxurious, as expected from a convenience store burger. Haha, but it does the basics, shall we say? The patty is generally thick, so it has a chewy texture, and there is some juiciness. Haha
The sauce is basically slightly sweet and salty with a very mild pepper flavor, reminiscent of gravy sauce. It wasn’t a menu with a strong sauce flavor. Overall, it could be a greasy menu, but the pickles balance it well, making it surprisingly easy to eat! Haha
Taste of the Double Beef Cheeseburger
Next, let’s taste the Double Beef Cheeseburger right away! This menu seems to be closer to the traditional cheeseburger taste than the one I had earlier! Haha
When you take a bite, it doesn’t differ much from the expected taste. The sauce has a slight teriyaki flavor and a bit of a ketchup-like feel. It’s close to the taste of a typical cheeseburger!
The patty is a bit disappointing, but the fact that it’s a double patty seems to compensate for that. I enjoyed it quite a bit! If you like cheeseburgers, you should be able to enjoy this one without any issues! It wasn’t that greasy either.
I first ate half of each menu and then finished the rest! Eating two without anything else made me quite full, but the value for money was quite good. Eating like this means I ended up eating four large patties! Haha If you don’t have a strong aversion to convenience store burgers, this is a menu you can enjoy at a reasonable price with decent taste!
