[K-food] Five-Color Abundant Meal 7-Eleven

Hello! Today, I am introducing a new lunchbox menu from 7-Eleven called Five-Color Abundant Table Lunchbox. This is a Chuseok lunchbox menu released for the Chuseok holiday! This is the third Chuseok assorted lunchbox review following 7-Eleven and GS25. The key components of this menu are beef bulgogi and assorted jeon! Let’s find out what this menu is all about!

Five-Color Abundant Table Price and Features

Excluding CU’s assorted lunchbox, which was hard to find and couldn’t be reserved at local convenience stores, this might be the last Chuseok special lunchbox review! This 7-Eleven holiday lunchbox concept allows you to enjoy plum beef bulgogi and assorted jeon together! 7-Eleven seems to have put a lot of effort into this product as it is the only one released for this Chuseok holiday. The price is 6,500 won.

The total content of this menu is 465g, and the calorie count is 760Kcal. Sodium is at 64% of the daily recommended intake. The calorie count is quite appropriate compared to the overall content, and the sodium level doesn’t feel too high. It seems good to enjoy moderately without burden!

Meat Menu Composition Lunchbox

Abundant Five-Color Composition

Let’s take a look at this menu composition! Since it’s a multi-dish lunchbox, it consists of 12 dishes including yakgwa dessert, so the quantity is quite large! Although not visible here, there is a vegetable jeon under the kimchi jeon.

Recently, the GS25 Chuseok lunchbox menu also included mugwort rice cake as a dessert, but 7-Eleven only provided a simple mini yakgwa as a dessert. The main meat dishes are neobiani and soy sauce bulgogi!

Jeon Variety Composition Lunchbox

Other menu items include muk made from mung bean starch, several types of jeon, and side dishes like radish namul, canola namul, and gungchae perilla stir-fry (which look similar). It seems they tried to carefully compose the namul, but it looks more similar to the namul composition of the existing 12-dish lunchbox rather than a holiday atmosphere.

Radish Namul Canola Namul Side Dish Composition

The jeon consists of tofu grill, five-color jeon, kimchi jeon, and vegetable jeon, making up four types. The overall menu composition is similar to a holiday lunchbox, but except for the jeon, it feels closer to a 12-dish or 13-dish lunchbox.

Abundant Five-Color Table Taste

Shall we go taste it right away? This menu is composed of various side dishes, so there isn’t a main dish to speak of, but let’s start with the meat menu. Haha

Assorted Jeon Composition Lunchbox Features

Expecting an extremely unique taste might have been a bit much. The basic taste was soy sauce bulgogi. It was suitable if you think of it as a simple rice side dish.

The skewer was similar. It seemed like a frozen product thawed and slightly grilled, but it would have been much better if they had added a bit more charcoal flavor or the detail of direct grilling.

Convenience Store Lunchbox Price Information

The muk menu, which is rarely included in convenience store lunchboxes, felt a bit unique. The taste was just plain, and the seasoning wasn’t too strong, so it was a menu that could be eaten without any trouble.

Five-Color Lunchbox Features

The other types of jeon were also included to create a holiday lunchbox atmosphere, and overall, they had a plain taste. This is a common feature of jeon included in most holiday lunchboxes!

With the rare tofu grill and side dishes like radish namul and canola namul that add a holiday feel, it was quite a balanced meal. If you eat it without thinking of it as a holiday lunchbox, it was a menu that could be enjoyed more comfortably.

After finishing the lunchbox and eating the mini yakgwa, it felt like a complete meal. The cost-effectiveness also seemed quite good! Not only for a holiday lunchbox but also if you want a filling meal, this menu might surprisingly suit you well!
