Hello! Today, I am introducing Burger King’s new menu item, the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper. Not long ago, I reviewed the 2025 Truffle Mushroom Whopper! Since it’s a menu item released annually and I have tried the Deep Truffle Mushroom Whopper before, I thought it wouldn’t be much different, so this time I decided to review the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper! This menu is also a new addition to the Truffle Mushroom Whopper lineup, so I’m quite looking forward to it.
Price and Features of the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper
The popularity of the Truffle Mushroom Whopper is quite high even in the fall season of 2025! Usually, one menu item is added to the original Truffle Mushroom Whopper during this season, and this time the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper has been added, making a total of three menu items available, which seems to be the reason. I chose the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper from this lineup! There was also an Angry Truffle Mushroom Whopper before, but I ordered it because I heard the taste is slightly different.
Just in case, it might be good to check the price of this lineup first, right? For reference, the large set is only about 700 won more than the regular set. Also, if you install the Burger King app, you can get a discount of about 1,000 won with the weekly discount, so it will be useful to keep that in mind!
I ordered the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper regular set! Including delivery fee, it cost about 13,300 won. According to the press release, it seems that only the sauce has been slightly changed from the original menu, which makes me quite curious!
Composition of the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper
Let’s briefly check the composition. Compared to the original Truffle Mushroom Whopper I reviewed before, there seems to be almost no visible difference!
Upon closer inspection, it seems that the slightly protruding sauce has changed to a brownish sauce with a hint of yellow! The slightly sautéed mushrooms and vegetables, as well as the patty and bacon, seem to be the same.
By the way, during my last order, I felt like the bacon strip was slightly longer, like a tongue sticking out of a clam, and it seems to be the same for this entire menu!
Let’s cut it in half and take a closer look at the composition! The basic composition includes lettuce, raw onion, and grilled mushrooms on top, with a combination of hot truffle sauce, bacon, and a whopper patty… However, there are no tomatoes here. It seems they were removed because the spicy sauce and the mild fresh tomato slices might not pair well together.
The composition seems to be generally similar to the existing menu! The most noticeable part here seems to be the slightly darker colored sauce! I’m a bit excited and worried about how spicy it will be, but I’ll taste it right away.
Taste of the Hot Truffle Mushroom Whopper
I took a bite right away! I remember the previous Angry Truffle Mushroom Whopper having a spicy taste with a hint of chili or jalapeño, but this time the sauce felt noticeably less spicy.
I was worried that the sauce might be too spicy or that the spicy aroma might ruin the truffle sauce flavor, but it seems the sauce type has been slightly changed! The taste itself was slightly spicier than the basic Truffle Mushroom Whopper, and with the removal of tomatoes, it felt thicker rather than mixed with tomato juice.
The taste wasn’t as spicy as expected, but for those who found the original menu a bit greasy, this might be a better option. The moderately spicy sauce seemed to slightly counteract the greasiness without significantly altering the original taste.
It seems suitable for approaching with a relatively mild taste while maintaining the unique flavor of the existing menu! Although the price remains the same despite the removal of tomatoes, you probably won’t mind much once you start eating. Haha
While eating, I suddenly thought that if you use this sauce instead of the existing sauce on Deep Truffle Fries and add cheese, it would taste quite good. I hope a menu with a similar combination comes out. Anyway, the taste is quite good, so I would like to recommend this menu!
