[K-food] One Meal Satisfaction New Favorite 11-Dish Set CU

Hello! Today, I am introducing CU’s new lunchbox menu, which is a renewed version of the existing favorite 11-dish set, One Meal Satisfaction New Favorite 11-Dish Set. I have been quite satisfied with the 11-dish set before, so I was curious about what has changed with the renewal and decided to purchase it. Since it was a menu with good value for money, I hope it hasn’t changed much this time as well. Let’s find out what this menu is all about!

One Meal Satisfaction New Favorite 11-Dish Set Price and Features

After the major renewal of CU’s overwhelming series, it seems that the existing One Meal Satisfaction menus are being quietly renewed one by one. The previous One Meal Satisfaction lineup included ‘Eclipse’ candy, but it seems to have been excluded in this renewal!

The price of this menu is 6,800 won, which is an increase of 300 won compared to before the renewal. While the previous menu changed from an 11-dish side set to an 11-dish set with the same price, the menu composition was slightly downgraded, so it seems there might not be a significant change this time!

Lunchbox Taste Review Soy Sauce Bulgogi

The total weight of the renewed menu is 485g, with 861Kcal, and sodium reaching 107% of the daily recommended intake. The previous menu was 485g with 817Kcal, and sodium was 89% of the daily recommended intake! With the composition slightly changed, sodium has significantly increased. Perhaps there was a reason to use the sauce a bit more intensely.

Let’s check how the composition has changed. At a glance, it doesn’t seem to have changed much. The number of side dishes is, of course, 11, as the name of the lunchbox suggests.

Convenience Store Lunchbox Review Personal Impression

I’m not sure if I should call this a side menu, but the top compartment consists of five items: stir-fried kimchi, a halved Vienna sausage, corn mayo salad, chicken nuggets, and fusilli pasta, with the same quantity.

Personally, I think this fusilli with tomato sauce is just for show, but considering how often it’s included, it seems to be a good value for money.

The rest of the main menu items, such as pink sausage, rolled omelet, vegetable pancake, stir-fried fish cake, soy sauce bulgogi, and gochujang bulgogi, remain the same. However, the onions under the bulgogi seem to have decreased in quantity but are still present. Since the quantity hasn’t changed, it seems necessary to check what has changed!

If the composition and quantity are the same, the change in sodium means the taste has changed. Here’s my conclusion. Let’s taste it to see how the flavor has changed.

One Meal Satisfaction Sodium Concern Information

First, I tasted the soy sauce bulgogi. It feels a bit richer in flavor compared to the previous menu, and it seems they used slightly fattier cuts. According to the menu description, they used foreign pork shoulder, which hasn’t changed!

This is the same for the gochujang bulgogi. It hasn’t become spicier, but it definitely feels a bit saltier. However, the gochujang flavor seems a bit richer. The sweet taste is also slightly more pronounced, but it doesn’t seem to have changed much compared to the soy sauce bulgogi.

The other side dishes were honestly quite similar. If the soy sauce fish cake stew was a bit salty, it seemed salty before as well, haha. The other side dishes were unremarkable without any parts feeling too salty.

Convenience Store Lunchbox Review Comprehensive Analysis

Compared to the past 11-dish set, the lunchbox overall feels a bit saltier, and it seems that not only this menu but also the recently renewed multi-dish lunchboxes are made without much concern for the daily recommended sodium intake. It seems that if they can’t increase the weight within the limited price increase, they are turning to making it taste good even if it’s salty. (The idea that salty is tasty is relative, though)

Considering the price, the quantity is certainly enough to fill you up, and the side dish composition seems quite unremarkable for those who frequently eat convenience store lunchboxes. If you’re worried about sodium, it might be okay if you don’t scrape everything like I do.
