Hello! The new Subway menu I will introduce today is the meaty sandwich of the winter season that provides a hearty meal every fall, Toshi Beef. In the fall of 2024, the Anchang Beef was released around the same time and has now become a regular menu item! I was disappointed that my favorite meatball menu disappeared, but when I heard that another meat sandwich menu was released, I ordered it right away! Let’s find out what kind of menu it is!

Features and Price of Subway Toshi Beef
This menu was not released alone, of course(?), and the new menu includes New Mushroom and Toshi Beef & New Mushroom. Of course, salad menus are also included! The price for the Toshi Beef set in-store is 13,700 won, and the delivery price is 15,200 won. The in-store price for a 15cm Toshi Beef single item is 10,800 won, and the delivery price is 11,700 won. The price is a bit high if you enjoy it as a set!

The Sub-pick combination is white bread with American cheese, toasted, and the sauces used are ranch and sweet onion, excluding pickles and jalapenos. Personally, I thought there were too many vegetables, so I also removed the cucumbers. Since it’s Subway, it would be nice to enjoy it according to your taste! Haha

Composition of Subway Toshi Beef
Since it’s Subway, let’s cut it in half right away to check the composition! As I mentioned earlier, I ordered it with only the cucumbers removed from the sub-pick combination. The composition is cleaner and not as overflowing as I thought. If there’s a bit too much sweet onion sauce, it might spill out a little!

Upon checking, it seems that Toshi Beef accounts for about 30-40% of the total composition! Unlike the Anchang Beef, they put several layers of flat Toshi meat! Thanks to this, it seems quite stable and much more convenient to eat!

Depending on the type of Toshi meat, if you eat a part with less fat, it can be a bit tough, but that’s when it’s grilled. If you tenderize and cook it properly, it might be okay. This part seems to need to be tasted directly to know.

There was a similar feeling with the Anchang Beef, but the sub-pick itself was full of vegetables, so it seems like a good choice to remove the cucumbers! Haha Personally, I don’t really prefer cucumbers in meat sandwiches! Lol It would be nice for you to choose according to your taste.

Taste of Subway Toshi Beef
Let’s taste it right away! The overall composition has changed from Anchang Beef to Toshi Beef only, but the shape of the meat is different, so it feels quite different. When you take a bite, you’ll definitely feel the mild meat sandwich taste.

There were some slightly tough parts in the middle, but overall it didn’t seem to be a big problem to eat. Honestly, there was almost no feeling of toughness, and it seemed a bit lacking in chewiness compared to Anchang Beef. This seems to be a natural result as the meat is thinner and easier to eat.

The sub-pick sauces, ranch and sweet onion sauce, honestly have a slightly sweet taste. No additional seasoning or sauce is needed for the salad, and if you want to enjoy the original taste of the meat, replacing it with smoked barbecue or pepper might be a good combination!

Personally, it was a very delicious menu. Depending on the person eating, a mild meat sandwich might not suit their taste, and honestly, the price might feel a bit expensive, so there might be various opinions on cost-effectiveness. Since it’s expensive, it would be good to customize it enough to suit your taste!

For dessert, you should have a macadamia cookie, haha. The sandwich has a fairly mild taste, so it won’t be a big burden to have it as a dessert after the meal!
