[Korean Food] A Lunchbox from 7-Eleven That Doesn’t Require Overthinking

Hello! Today, I am introducing a new lunchbox menu from 7-Eleven, presented as part of the Over Limit series, called the No Need to Worry Lunchbox. Recently, 7-Eleven has been frequently releasing lunchboxes with somewhat unfamiliar combinations under the Over Limit series. However, upon closer inspection, it seems to be a series that doesn’t have too many polarizing side dishes, making it naturally appealing. This menu seems to follow a similar approach! Let’s find out what this menu is all about.

Appetizing Spicy Taste

Price and Features of the No Need to Worry Lunchbox

Following the Restaurant Bulgogi and Uiseong Garlic Ham, a menu with a name that doesn’t easily reveal its contents has been released. But does the name imply that it’s a menu you can choose without much thought? Haha, I expected it to be a multi-dish menu. The price is 4,900 won.

The total weight of this menu is 423g, and it contains 725Kcal, with sodium accounting for 81% of the daily recommended intake. Considering that prices have recently easily exceeded the mid-5,000 won range, it seems to aim to be a reasonably priced and hearty lunchbox!

Frozen Food Processed Meat Lunchbox

Composition of the No Need to Worry Lunchbox

Let’s check the composition. This menu is a lunchbox with 6 compartments, essentially containing 8 side dishes! Due to the appropriate composition tailored to the low price, each menu item is in a simple form!

The main side dishes include frozen food and processed meat, along with stir-fried spicy pork. From the left, it consists of pink sausage coated with egg, dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, kimchi stir-fried spicy pork, and 5 sausages. As the menu name suggests, it seems to be a menu made by appropriately mixing a few side dishes that people generally like, so nothing particularly stands out! Haha.

Convenience Store Lunchbox Preference Survey

The two processed meat menus have a very simple composition. It might be the reason why the price of this menu is slightly lower and still filling! They are frozen products that seem familiar from somewhere.

The kimchi stir-fried spicy pork is considered the most essential part of this menu as it is the only one that seems to be directly cooked, but these days, even that is hard to trust. In an era where frozen stir-fried spicy pork is appearing… Still, compared to other menus with almost no kimchi, it is surprisingly well made!

Convenience Store Menu Composition Comparison

The side dishes consist of three items: pickled radish with chili powder, quail egg jangjorim, and perilla leaf stew. Since the stir-fried spicy pork already includes kimchi, it seems that the pickled radish and perilla leaf stew were satisfactory as side dishes! Compared to multi-dish lunchboxes, the variety of side dishes seems quite limited. Haha.

Taste of the No Need to Worry Lunchbox

Shall we taste it right away? It seems that rather than each menu item being polarizing, there might be people who have different opinions about the composition itself, but if you don’t have a strong aversion to convenience store lunchboxes, most people should be able to enjoy it!

Lunchbox Composition Taste Review

First, I tasted the stir-fried spicy pork, which can be considered the main dish. It seems that the stir-fried spicy pork is a bit more seasoned than other menus, probably because it includes kimchi! Once you take a bite, you’ll immediately feel that the spicy and savory taste makes it a great side dish for rice!

It’s definitely a bit salty to eat on its own, so it would be great as a side dish for rice. Should I say it’s more suitable for stimulating the appetite than for a healthy taste?

Special Menu Lunchbox Review

On the other hand, the other frozen ham side dishes taste exactly as they appear. Haha, it’s the taste you see in one or two items in existing convenience store lunchboxes! It’s hard to expect something special from a convenience store multi-dish lunchbox, but it does feel a bit bland compared to the stir-fried spicy pork.

Still, if you’re someone who can enjoy a lunchbox composed solely of these side dishes like me, it’s definitely a menu where you can enjoy a decent taste at a decent price. I didn’t have any particular thoughts about the cost-performance ratio!

Over Limit Lunchbox Detailed Review

The remaining pickled radish, quail egg jangjorim, and perilla leaf stew are something you’ll recognize right away. Haha, personally, I found them quite enjoyable, but I’m curious how others will feel. Recently, the price of convenience store lunchboxes has increased significantly, but I think this is a reasonable price range. Haha, if you want a simple meal, give it a try!
