Hello. Today’s new CU lunchbox menu is the Heinz Omurice Set Meal, created in collaboration with Heinz. This time, CU teamed up with Heinz to roll out a variety of items like omurice, pasta, and gimbap. I also reviewed one of the pasta options not long ago. This time, I picked up the omurice set—one of the first dishes that comes to mind when you think of ketchup. Let’s take a closer look at what it’s like.

Heinz has been releasing a range of sauces lately, but when you think of Heinz, ketchup is still the first thing that comes to mind. Maybe that’s why they went with an omurice menu that pairs perfectly with ketchup. I expected it to be a simple omurice rice bowl, but surprisingly, it’s a full set meal. The price is 5,900 won.

The total weight is 378g, and it comes in at 621 kcal. Sodium is 71% of the recommended daily intake. Looking at the ingredients, Heinz ketchup is included, and there’s also tomato paste listed separately from the paste used in the ketchup—so it seems there’s an additional tomato-based sauce in the meal.

Overall, for a reasonable price and a decent portion, it’s a solid option for a single meal. The flavors aren’t too intense, so it’s easy to enjoy without feeling weighed down. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal, this is a menu I can recommend well enough.
