Today’s new menu from Banolim Pizza is the Meatball Meat, released as a limited-time menu for winter 2025. As several pizza chains rolled out their own meat pizzas and shrimp pizzas, Banolim Pizza also introduced a similar lineup. Among them, this is a signature lineup item released under the theme “Falling in Meat Night.” It’s literally an all-meat pizza topped with meatballs, BBQ chicken, bulgogi, and bacon. Let’s take a closer look at what it’s like.

Banolim Pizza Meatball Meat price and features

This limited winter menu feels like a signature lineup item that builds on Banolim Pizza’s existing “Nice to meat you” pizza. It’s presented with the concept of “Banolim’s meat signature series, where the rich flavor of meat spreads deeply.” They also released BBQ pork ribs as a side, and for the shrimp lineup, they launched two options as well: Basil Double Shrimp and Ghost Double Shrimp.

The price is simple: Regular 21,900 KRW / Large 25,900 KRW. With the winter limited promotion, I bought it with a 4,000 KRW discount. Depending on the delivery app, the discount can go up to 6,000 KRW, and the discount amount varies by store, so if you check the benefits before ordering, you can get a pretty good value. When you order this menu, you get three basics: cucumber pickles, garlic sauce, and hot sauce.

Banolim Pizza Meatball Meat toppings

Let’s quickly check the toppings. As a signature menu aimed at the year-end and New Year season, its biggest feature is the generous amount of four kinds of meat toppings. The moment you open the box, the densely packed toppings are the first thing you notice.

They say this menu uses a signature three-cheese blend, including mozzarella, Gouda, and cheddar. On top of that, it also adds mascarpone, so the cheese is on another level. With all the meat toppings plus a few vegetable toppings, there’s barely any empty space on the pizza.

As mentioned earlier, there are four kinds of meat: meatballs, bacon, BBQ chicken, and bulgogi. They say each topping adds juiciness, a smoky taste and aroma, and a savory saltiness, creating a fairly complex flavor. As you can tell just by looking, there’s more meat than vegetables.

For vegetables, there’s just a tiny bit of green bell pepper, plus sweet corn and black olives. However, since this menu uses mascarpone instead of tomato sauce, I’m a little concerned about what will provide the umami. Somehow, this is already my third pizza review in December, and none of them use tomato sauce, which feels oddly strange.

Banolim Pizza Meatball Meat taste

Let’s try a slice right away. This winter, so many meat-heavy items have been coming out that I’m quietly excited. I’m hoping this one tastes good too.

My first impression after a bite was that if you love meat, you’ll be 100% satisfied. From the front, you get bulgogi, plus bacon and BBQ chicken, so the meaty flavor feels very rich. The toppings are cut into fairly small pieces, so the texture is a bit less exciting, but on the plus side, it also makes it easy to eat.

For the meatball section at the very back, it’s easiest if you fold the slice slightly. The meatballs themselves are fairly juicy, and the rich, fatty flavor makes it surprisingly satisfying. Overall, I was quite pleased. With the savory saltiness and smoky aroma coming from the various meats, the seasoning felt just right and not too heavy.

That said, as mentioned earlier, since it uses mascarpone instead of tomato sauce, it can feel like it’s missing a bit of umami. Of course, a stronger sauce could overpower the meat’s flavor and aroma, so it’s understandable, but there’s a certain savory depth that meat alone doesn’t fully provide. On the other hand, some people may actually prefer it because there’s no punchy sauce.

The BBQ chicken’s smoked notes help balance everything, while the bulgogi and bacon add savory richness, making it a great option as a not-too-heavy party snack. The flavor is relatively light and clean, and dipping it in the garlic sauce at the end really brings it to life. With such a high density of meat toppings, the topping satisfaction is definitely strong for the price.

As you might expect, it can start to feel a bit rich from the third slice, so it’s a good idea to drizzle on the hot sauce at that point. I managed to eat four slices with hot sauce, but if you’re craving it yet worried it might feel heavy, ordering an extra hot sauce could be a good option.

Personally, it was a perfect match as a beer snack or a year-end party menu. If you can get it during the discount promotion period, the topping satisfaction is quite high for the price, so meat pizza lovers should be more than satisfied. Just keep in mind that it may feel a bit rich, and the flavor is mild rather than intense, and you’ll be able to enjoy it.
