Hello! The new convenience store burger menu from CU that I will introduce today is the Ricotta Cheese Chicken Burger. I don’t often review convenience store burgers, but I do buy them occasionally! I often review unique (not strange) menus with quite good quality among convenience store burgers! This menu was quite good in quality! The combination of ricotta cheese and chicken burger is not something you can easily find even in regular franchises, so I bought it right away. Let’s find out what kind of menu it is!

Price and Features of Ricotta Cheese Chicken Burger
In fact, even in fast-food franchises like McDonald’s, a combination of ricotta cheese and chicken burger has been released before. However, at that time, the addition of arrabbiata sauce made the taste quite complex and subtle. I bought this CU menu because it was made without major sauces (though a little was added). The price is 4,500 won.

The feature of this menu is the combination of glazed bun, chicken breast patty, and ricotta cheese! Those who haven’t had a convenience store burger in a while might not know, but surprisingly, there are quite a few high-quality menus! The downside might be that you can’t have French fries with it? Haha

The total content of this menu is 193g, and the calorie content is 494Kcal, with sodium at 45% of the daily recommended intake. The total content is a bit light for a single burger menu, but the calorie content is about the same as a typical single meal menu. It should be suitable for a meal without burden.

Composition of Ricotta Cheese Chicken Burger
Shall we take a quick look at the composition? First, when you unwrap the burger, it is in a plastic container like this. It seems to mean to hold and eat it in this state, but since the sauce and oil get on it, holding the bag and eating it is not much different!

The visual is roughly like this. It seems a bit awkward since it hasn’t been microwaved yet! Haha The cheese hasn’t melted, so the slice is almost intact.

First, place it on a plate and cook it in the microwave for about 40 seconds, and it looks like this! Isn’t it quite nice? Haha It maintains its shape quite well, so sometimes it’s even better than when delivered. Haha

Let’s cut it in half and take a closer look at the composition! Perhaps because a brioche bun is used, the burger bun is quite soft!

If you look closely, you can see salad dressing, lettuce, whole chicken breast patty, ricotta cheese, tomato, and sliced cheddar cheese on top.

It seems that no special sauce was used other than salad dressing! I’m very curious about what it would taste like to eat a chicken burger with ricotta cheese as it is.

Taste of Chicken Burger with Ricotta Cheese
Shall we taste it right away!? At first, I thought it would be very bland because it only had ricotta cheese! But the chicken itself is somewhat seasoned, and sliced cheddar cheese is also included, so it wasn’t as bland as I thought.

Ricotta cheese is not just roughly added, but there is so much that it comes out when you eat it! This is a bit surprising, and even compared to similar menus from franchises, the amount is quite a lot, not considering it’s a convenience store burger.

However, the part I was most worried about was whether it would be a bit greasy… and sure enough, halfway through, I definitely felt that way. Whether it’s arrabbiata sauce or something else, it’s true that for Korean taste buds that struggle without umami, it can be a bit greasy!

Nevertheless, because there is almost no stimulating taste, it was a menu where you could very well taste the original flavors of ricotta cheese and whole chicken breast patty! However, it seems to be a menu that inevitably has some divided opinions.

Personally, it was a bit greasy, but thinking that I ate a delicious chicken burger at a reasonable price, I felt like I ate well before thinking it was a waste of money. If you don’t particularly like stimulating menus and are looking for a slightly mild menu, it seems like a pretty good meal to recommend!
