Hello! Today, I am introducing a new menu from Puradak Chicken, which is part of the chef’s chicken lineup in collaboration with Fabrizio Ferrari, known as Fabri in Korea, called Fabri Pabullo. This is already the third menu following Kwon Sung-jun (Napoli Mafia) and Chef Jung Ji-sun. It seems they plan to collaborate with various chefs who appeared on Black and White Chef. This menu composition feels familiar yet slightly unique. Let’s check out what kind of menu it is.

Fabri Pabullo Price and Features
You can somewhat guess from the name, but this menu reinterprets bulgogi (pa+bulgogi) into a chicken dish! It uses a special bulgogi sauce with a smoky flavor to capture the taste of Korea while preserving the original taste of Puradak Chicken as much as possible. It’s quite unique that it’s a more Korean menu than those by Korean chefs, fitting for a chef interested in Korean cuisine! Also, it’s sold for a limited time, so you might want to try it quickly.

First, the price is 22,900 won per chicken. Boneless is 26,900 won, and the wing combo is 25,900 won. It’s similar to most of Puradak’s new menu prices! The sauce provided with the order is Puradak’s basic chili mayo sauce, and other components include pickled radish. I ordered the boneless! Although the price is a bit high, Puradak’s boneless is the best!

Fabri Pabullo Composition
Now let’s unbox and check the composition. As soon as you open the lid, the rich aroma of bulgogi sauce spreads! If you smell closely, you can also detect a hint of green onion, which is closer to the scent of grilled green onion rather than fresh.

Unlike the usual cheese or potato crunch, this menu features green onion fritters! Unlike fresh green onions, they are well-fried, giving a very crispy texture and preserving the sweet taste unique to grilled green onions.

The sauce used is a rather thick soy sauce! It’s hard to tell if it’s corn syrup or oligosaccharide, but it looks rich and sticky, suggesting a strong flavor. Hopefully, it’s not too sweet or salty!

Broadly speaking, it’s a very familiar type of chicken with soy sauce! When limited to this menu, the green onion fritters and rich bulgogi sauce give it a slightly different feel from the traditional soy sauce chicken, making the taste quite anticipated.

From my personal experience, Puradak Chicken’s new menus usually show above-average quality. While there may be preferences, I remember enjoying the previous chef’s chicken menu quite a bit, so I expect to enjoy this menu as well. Plus, it’s Puradak boneless!

Fabri Pabullo Taste
Let’s take a bite. Since the green onion fritters are mainly on top, I chose the top piece! As you can see, there’s nothing special besides the sauce.

The first thought that comes to mind after a bite is that although it’s soy sauce chicken, it definitely has a taste close to bulgogi sauce. Thinking about what similar taste it has, it reminded me of Goobne Galbi King. It also includes green onion fritters, and while the bulgogi sauce flavor isn’t 100% identical, it gives a slightly similar impression.

Overall, it’s slightly salty, but not to the point where it’s hard to eat. If you like soy sauce chicken, you’ll enjoy it. If needed, you can dip it slightly in chili mayo sauce. However, doing so might slightly mask the unique smoky flavor of this menu’s sauce.

The seasoning is very rich, and due to the slightly sweet and salty soy sauce taste, some might prefer the top pieces. On the other hand, some might prefer the pieces with plenty of sauce on the bottom.

The overall taste feels like an upgraded version of Goobne Galbi King, with a slight spiciness making it suitable for children as well. It seems especially good as a snack! The combination of the rich taste of the oven-fried boneless chicken thigh from Puradak and the sauce is something you should definitely experience.

I like Goobne Galbi King as much as I like Chili Basasak, so it was a really enjoyable experience to have a soy sauce chicken that is as good or even better! Unfortunately, it’s a limited sale, so I hope it gets re-released under a different name if possible. Highly recommended for those who love soy sauce chicken!
