Hello. Today’s new chicken burger menu from Mom’s Touch is the Super Thigh Double Kick. It’s said to be a follow-up to the Super Thigh Burger that was sold in 2024. This time, they’ve used an even bigger, heftier chicken thigh patty. On top of that, they add Deep Smoke Mustard sauce and Gourmet Butter Seasoning for two flavor “kicks,” which is why it’s called “Double Kick.” Let’s take a look at what it’s like.

Super Thigh Double: Price and Features

The Super Thigh Burger, released in early 2024, gained a decent amount of popularity at the time, but since it was a limited-time item and ended, not many people remember it—almost to the point of “Was that even a thing?” This time, it seems like they’re doing a major promotional push with the re-release. They’ve also added a fun concept where you can customize the sauces to your liking with the “two kicks.”

The in-store price is 8,900 KRW for the burger only, and 11,300 KRW for a combo. Delivery pricing is 9,700 KRW for the burger only, and 12,600 KRW for a combo. This menu can also be ordered as part of sets like the Couple Pack, Triple Pack, and Family Pack, so keep that in mind if you’re ordering with others and want a variety.

As mentioned earlier, this menu comes with two sauces for customization. One is Deep Smoke Mustard, and the other is Gourmet Butter Seasoning. Both seem like they’ll have pretty bold flavors. Later on, it might even work to add something like a spicy chili sauce and make a sweet-spicy-salty “triple kick” setup.

Super Thigh Double: What’s Inside

Now let’s quickly look at what comes in it. When I reviewed it back in early 2024, I felt it might have been released to gauge demand for a “big patty chicken sandwich” that clearly nods to KFC’s Zinger Double Down. Even then, plenty of people liked that hefty look, and it seems they’ve kept the size the same this time as well.

The regular Thigh Burger is already quite good, but the previous Super Thigh Burger was popular largely because of its size. This time, it seems they’re trying to differentiate the flavor by adding the “two kicks.”

The visual satisfaction you get from this massive chicken patty is still the biggest draw of this menu. Even before taking a bite, it feels like you can already imagine the richness and juiciness.

Let’s cut it in half and take a quick look inside. Compared to the regular Thigh Burger, there doesn’t seem to be a big difference in the basic build.

From top to bottom, it’s a very simple lineup: Thigh Burger cheese sauce, lettuce, pickles, the Super Thigh patty, and mayo. This time, though, it looks like the tomato slice is gone and there are slightly more pickles.

Before getting into the tasting, I’ll add the two sauces to boost the flavor. Since I also wanted to compare it to the unsauced version, I only added sauce to one half and left the other half as is.

The Gourmet Butter Seasoning is a pretty classic seasoning-style sauce, with a flavor you often find on “Bburinkle-style” seasoned chicken, and it leans a bit richer. The Deep Smoke Mustard is basically regular mustard with a touch of smoky aroma, giving it a slightly heavier feel. Adding seasoning and mustard to a burger sounds pretty promising.

How the Super Thigh Double Kick Tastes

Now let’s get to the taste test. The regular Thigh Burger isn’t exactly easy to eat in one go either, so the Super Thigh probably won’t be that different. Haha. I held it firmly with both hands and took a bite from the half without any sauce first.

Maybe because of what this menu is going for, compared to the regular Thigh patty, it didn’t feel like it had more oil or juices even if the amount is similar, but the higher chicken-to-bun ratio made it feel more substantial. Also, compared to the regular Thigh Burger, the cheese sauce felt like there was less of it (probably because the patty is so big), so it definitely needed extra sauce.

Seasoning comparison: love-it-or-hate-it factor

Next, I tried the part with the remaining sauces added. The sauced side was clearly more flavorful, and with the seasoning-and-mustard combo, it’s hard for it to taste bad. It’s a rich menu by nature, but the mustard’s smokiness and tang helped cut through some of the heaviness.

That said, the Gourmet Butter Seasoning has such a strong aroma that it may be a bit polarizing. If it had leaned more into a cheesy flavor, it might have worked better, but it’s the kind of taste that can become cloying quickly for many Koreans, so it felt a little in-between.
