BHC’s new menu item for today is Kwasaq Mozzaking, which launched on September 24, 2026. The name pairs “kwasaq,” the sound of a loud crunch, with mozzarella and “king.” Italian chef Sam Kim and BHC teamed up on it, and it is a menu from the Coupang Eats Chef Collection. Boneless chicken in the crunchy coating of BHC’s Kwasaqking is packed with whole mozzarella, so the outside is crisp and the inside stretches. It feels like it was made with Jadam Chicken’s Chijeuping and Mexicana’s Chipilling very much in mind. Ha. Two kick sauces with an Italian touch come standard, too. The price is 24,000 won, with a coupon discount available. Let’s find out what it’s all about.

Kwasaq Mozzaking: Price and Highlights
This September, BHC and the Coupang Eats Chef Collection teamed up to release Kwasaq Mozzaking, a menu built with chef Sam Kim. It looks like a blend of the coating from Kwasaqking, one of BHC’s popular items, and the mozzarella boneless chicken that Jadam Chicken and Mexicana have offered before. As you’d expect, this is a boneless-only menu, and the price is 24,000 won. Because it belongs to the Coupang Eats Chef Collection, delivery orders go through Coupang, which is worth knowing. From October 22, sales are set to expand to BHC stores nationwide.

Even at the discounted 20,000 won, getting two sauces thrown in makes the price feel not bad at all. Extra sauces cost 1,500 won each, though. I ordered one more of each so I could really taste the sauces.

Let’s take a quick look at what comes in the box. The moment I opened it, golden-brown boneless chicken filled the whole thing. Each piece is squared off with angular edges and wears Kwasaqking’s trademark crunchy coating, which feels a little different. Ha. It seems the standard portion is 10 pieces. Each piece is noticeably bigger than Chijeuping or Chipilling, so I’d guess there’s plenty of cheese inside.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netThe coating is the same Crispy Crumble coating used on Kwasaqking. It is made from a batter mix of potato, rice and corn, which leaves the surface bumpy and rough. You can tell at a glance that it will crunch loudly when you bite in, right? As for the concept, the menu is described as boneless chicken with Kwasaqking’s crunchy coating wrapped around whole mozzarella, plus two Italian dips, landing somewhere between chicken and pizza. I’m quietly looking forward to it.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netThe star here is the whole mozzarella inside. You can’t tell from the outside, but like a cheese stick, the cheese is tucked inside the boneless chicken, so it should be fun to eat. One thing worries me a little about the texture, though. Even when BHC uses domestic chicken, it uses chicken breast.

As mentioned, two sauces come standard. Arrabbiata Dip is tomato with peperoncino, so it is tangy with a mild kick. Green Olive Dip is green olive with a gentle heat. Both carry Sam Kim’s Italian sensibility, so they feel clearly different from ordinary chicken sauces. The nutrition information lists 319 kcal per 100 g, with an average weight of 600 g per menu. Since this is a fried menu with cheese, the calories aren’t light, so keep that in mind.

Time to dig in. I picked up one piece and took a big bite. The coating was crunchy enough to make that loud crunch, just like the original Kwasaqking. Right after, the hot mozzarella stretched out, and the texture twist hit immediately.

Thanks to the potato, rice and corn batter mix, the coating is much rougher and crunchier than regular fried chicken. If you haven’t tried Kwasaqking yet, I’d suggest trying the original (though I wouldn’t recommend the boneless version). The chicken does seem to be breast meat, but BHC’s usual dryness wasn’t as strong as I expected. Since the crunch outside and juiciness inside came through clearly, it should be a welcome texture for anyone who loved Kwasaqking. Pairing it with cheese worked pretty well, too.

Of course, the sauces needed trying. Dipped in Arrabbiata Dip, the tangy tomato and spicy peperoncino meet the cheese for a pizza-like bite. Unlike the Sweet Habanero that comes standard with original Kwasaqking, this mix of cheese, chicken, coating and tomato made it easy to see why people call it pizza-like.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netGreen Olive Dip was good for alternating, because the olive’s distinctive aroma cuts the richness. Past the halfway point, the coating and cheese together start to feel a little heavy. When that happens, using both sauces together seems to make a great pairing that keeps the meal enjoyable.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netCompared with Chipilling
It’s impossible not to compare this with Chipilling, which pioneered this line of menus. Chipilling comes with Hot Fire Salsa Ring and Deep Cheese Ring as standard sauces, for a spicier and richer-cheese experience. Here, a hint of Italian flavor was a nice kick. Ha. It resembles the chicken I usually eat, yet it clearly tastes different.

If you’ve enjoyed other chicken-and-cheese menus, I felt this one would absolutely satisfy. Chipilling was tasty, of course, but Kwasaq Mozzaking has fairly large pieces and distinctive sauces, so it offered a different experience. With each piece so big, the amount of cheese inside also felt pretty generous.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netPersonally, Arrabbiata Dip was slightly better of the two sauces. If there’s a flavor you want beyond the standard ones, ordering one more is a surprisingly good choice. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes the chicken-and-cheese combination, to Kwasaqking fans, and to anyone who wants to enjoy chicken with unusual sauces.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much is BHC’s Kwasaq Mozzaking?
It costs 24,000 won. With a Chef Collection coupon, 4,000 won comes off, bringing it to 20,000 won, and the two sauces, Arrabbiata Dip and Green Olive Dip, are included one each. Extra sauces are 1,500 won apiece.
Q. What does Kwasaq Mozzaking taste like?
Personally, I loved the twist of a crunchy coating giving way to stretchy mozzarella. BHC’s usual dryness wasn’t as strong as I expected, and dipping in Arrabbiata Dip gave the cheese a pizza-like flavor. Toward the middle it can feel a little heavy, so alternating with Green Olive Dip helps.
Q. Where can I order Kwasaq Mozzaking?
Delivery orders can be placed through Coupang, because this is a Coupang Eats Chef Collection menu. From October 22, sales are set to expand to BHC stores nationwide.
