Hello. Today I’m introducing GS25’s new Lunar New Year items: Royal Dumpling Rice Cake Soup for Seollal, and two varieties—Assorted Jeon & Japchae. For the 2026 Seollal holiday, GS25 was the first among convenience store chains to roll out the widest range of offerings. GS25 has long released holiday lunch boxes, assorted jeon, and occasionally tteok-mandu-guk as well, so the lineup is generally quite solid. This time, you can also pre-order through the GS25 convenience store app, so you can place an order and eat it as needed. I pre-ordered this time and tried it right away. Hello. Today I’m introducing GS25’s new lunchbox menu: the “Lunchbox of the Month” February Lunar New Year Special. Starting in 2026, they launched the Lunchbox of the Month series, and in January they released the Value-for-Money Edition. As I suspected, for February they’ve put out a light holiday-themed lunchbox. This one seems to have made a few small changes to the nine-compartment lunchbox set that GS25 has traditionally released for each holiday. The overall lineup was pretty solid. Puradak Chicken’s new menu item I’m introducing today is Mayo Pinyño, released in February 2026. This is the first chef-created menu item unveiled after Chef Ahn Sung-jae was appointed as the brand’s “Master.” It heightens anticipation by emphasizing the message, “Chicken perfected by Ahn Sung-jae,” and the ad even features the striking verdict, “It’s a hedonistic flavor,” which has me quietly excited. They say it’s a mayo-based chicken with a different kind of appeal from Puradak’s signature Gochu Mayo Chicken. So, shall we take a closer look at what it’s like?

Hello. Today’s new Burger King menu item is the Crisfer Bacon & Cheese, newly released in late January 2026. They say it’s a revamped version of the Crisfer menu that first launched in 2025. This time, by adding crust crumbs and a tumbling process to their dedicated powder mix, they’ve created a chicken patty that maximizes a crispy exterior with a juicy, tender inside. I bought the premium Bacon & Cheese version with added bacon and cheese. For Burger King, which is something of a latecomer in the chicken burger category, the quality felt quite solid. Hello. Today’s new menu item from 7-Eleven is the Kkanbu Lunchbox, a Chinese-style set meal bento. At first, I wondered if it was a collaboration with Kkanbu Chicken, but that wasn’t the case at all. It’s a set meal that combines spicy fried chicken (Kkanpunggi) and mapo tofu. The value for money is fairly average, and the lineup is decent, so it makes a solid option for a meal.
