Today’s new Frank Burger menu is the Padak Padak Chicken Burger, a collaboration with Chef Park Eun-young, a Chinese-cuisine chef who became even better known from Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars and a Korean celebrity cooking show. This time, under a series called “Park Eun-young’s burger collaboration,” she launched two items at once: the Padak Padak Chicken Burger and the Kkansho Shrimp Beef Burger. A Mac & Cheese Beef Burger also came out separately as a Park Eun-young edition. At 6,600 won in-store, it’s a padak (green onion chicken) burger concept built around yurinchi sauce and scallion strips, so it sounds as distinctive as the name suggests, right? Today I ordered the first of them, the Padak Padak Chicken Burger. Let’s take a look.
📋 At a Glance
- Product: Padak Padak Chicken Burger (Chef Park Eun-young collab)
- Store: Frank Burger
- Price: Single 6,600 won / Set 10,100 won (in-store)
- Main components: Thick chicken-thigh fillet, yurinchi sauce (chili and peanut), green onion and scallion strips, onion, toasted bun
- Verdict: ★3.5 — a Chinese-style chicken burger that nails the seasoned-padak vibe, though the scallion is a bit sparse!
Padak Padak Chicken Burger: Price and Features
As the name implies, the concept reinterprets “padak chicken” as a burger. From the name alone you’d guess it’s just a chicken patty with green onion and some padak sauce. According to the description, though, it’s a thick chicken patty combined with yurinchi sauce, green onion, chili, and peanut sauce. Since the person who developed it is Chef Park Eun-young, a Chinese-cuisine specialist, it does seem to carry a bit of a Chinese touch, ha. Let’s check the price.
- In-store price: single 6,600 won / set 10,100 won
- Delivery price (via Coupang Eats): single 7,500 won / set 11,300 won
Frank Burger tends to have a fair gap between the single and set prices. If it’s your first time ordering, it’s worth keeping that in mind.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netI ordered the Padak Padak Chicken Burger set this time. With no store nearby, I got it delivered. I’ve tried plenty of chicken burgers from various franchises, but a padak chicken one feels like a first. On top of that, they say it blends the fresh, clean, and zingy flavor typical of Chinese cuisine, though the description alone doesn’t quite paint the picture, ha.

Let’s start by looking at the makeup. Since Frank Burger’s usual burgers use a grilled beef patty, I didn’t expect much from this “chicken burger” type, but the surprisingly thick chicken patty was impressive. Of course it isn’t cooked from scratch in-store; it’s probably a frozen product fried once, right?

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netSure enough, true to the name, the chicken with onion and green onion is what mostly shows, and from the side the sauce looks generously applied. That said, there doesn’t seem to be as much green onion as I’d expected. If it’s padak, piling shredded scallion generously over the fried chicken is kind of the whole identity, isn’t it?

Now let me cut it in half and check the makeup more closely. Usually when you split a burger, the fillings tend to leak out, but this time it’s more that they spill than leak, ha. The scallion strips on top scattered here and there.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netThe overall build is quite simple. The bun is a regular bun, but true to Frank Burger it’s toasted on the inside, holding sauce, scallion strips, onion, and a thick chicken-thigh fillet within. In a way, it looks like a menu that competes on the chicken and green onion sauce alone.

Now let’s dig right in. It was just the right size for a big bite. Basically, compared with other burger franchises (apart from KFC and Mom’s Touch), it was a chicken burger with pretty solid fundamentals. The oily, juicy texture characteristic of a chicken-thigh patty was quite good too.

The sauce here is a bit unusual. Unlike menus such as the Zinger or the McSpicy that compete on the seasoned flavor of the chicken itself and the aroma of the batter, here the sauce plays a fairly big role. If you look at the details, the sauce itself contains chili, and it’s said to be a yurinchi style blended with peanut sauce.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netAs you eat, it is a yurinchi flavor, but the sweet note comes through a little more strongly, if that makes sense. That’s probably because the peanut sauce is mixed in. The sauce feels quite smooth, and since the heat isn’t strong, it has a bit of an old-school seasoned-chicken vibe. That sense of eating a seasoned padak was captured pretty well.

Copyright PAKOC https://pakoc.netThe Scallion Strips Fall a Little Short
Personally, part of me wished there were a bit more scallion, and part of me felt the strips were slightly hard to bite through in one go, trailing out a little, so I wondered if they’d have been better cut finer, ha. The flavor is good overall, but in the eating experience itself it’s a slight minus.

Honestly, the earlier Chef Jung Ho-young edition Frank chicken burger had a slightly underwhelming patty, so I ordered this one half in doubt, but I was a little surprised at how decent it actually tasted, ha. If you already like padak, I think this is a menu worth trying once without much hesitation. For anyone visiting Korea, it’s a fun way to taste a Chinese-chef twist on a fast-food chicken burger.
